Hello everyone! We’ve got some very important things coming up over the next few weeks, so I thought I would take a minute to discuss them with you.
First, on September 1st, we will be holding a Morning Mixer at the Planet Fitness here in Bullhead City. We had one a few months ago and it was well attended and interesting to tour. There will, of course, be breakfast and prizes for those who attend. The mixer begins at 8 am and goes until 9:30.
On Wednesday, September 7th, we will be having our inaugural “Breakfast with John” mixer at the Chamber at 8 a.m. John, along with Chrissy, Denise and some Chamber Ambassadors, will meet with Chamber members in the conference room to discuss member benefits, possible events and answer your questions. We will have donuts, bagels, coffee and juice. Please bring a prospective member with you so they can hear what we have to offer and why they should be a member. The last one was very beneficial to those who attended.
On Wednesday, September 13th, we will be bringing back the Lunch and Learn. This one will be with Mohave Green at noon at the Chamber Conference Room. This will be an educational event for chamber members to discuss the various rules and regulations regarding the Medical Marijuana process and who is eligible to receive their Medical Marijuana card. The cost is $10 and includes lunch. Please contact Chrissy at the chamber to sign-up.
That same day, we will have the first of our educational seminars on the Fire Bond. It will be from 5:30-7 at the Chamber and will be put on by Fire Chief Rick Southey, Assistant Chief Scott Neal and staff. They will be there to present to the public their reasons behind why the fire bond is needed. They will answer your questions as well. They will also be doing a similar presentation at the Chamber from 8 am to 9:30 on the following Wednesday, September 20th. Please make a plan to attend either of these no-cost events and educate yourself on the bond issue prior to the November election.
Also on September 20th, the Small Business Development Center will be presenting a class on How To Transform Your Business. It will be at the Bullhead branch of the Mohave Community College from 9 am to 11 am. This invaluable seminar will help you realize what kind of business you have, and how to transform it into the type of business you want it to be. For more info, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
So we have a busy next few weeks. I hope that all of you who are members take full advantage of your membership and try to attend as many of these as possible. Thanks again for your support, and I hope to see you out and about.
John C. Pynakker, Executive Director
