Congressman Paul Gosar recently visited the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce to see in person the chamber’s new digital messaging sign that would not be operating without his help.
Joe Keunen, chamber executive board member said, “We invited Congressman Gosar to thank him for clearing the way in dealing with multi-jurisdictional entities so the chamber and the City of Bullhead City could come to an agreement.”
Keunen said the messaging sign is important to the chamber as a significant source of revenue from advertising and helps chamber members as a low-cost way to publicize business and community information.
“The chamber directors also thank Mohave Electric Cooperative for their assistance with a low interest loan to finance the sign purchase,” said Keunen.
The new digital messaging sign replaces a 35-year-old single message hand-lettered sign. The sign can display up to 7,650 advertisements each day per side, viewed by north and southbound traffic on HWY 95 and chamber visitors.
The Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce has played a major role in this area since 1947. Community and business leaders saw the importance of having an organization that could promote and represent the region many years ago.
Originally known as the Bullhead City-Davis Dam-Mohave Valley Chamber, the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 70th Anniversary.
