On Wednesday, July 18th the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce held a Candidate Forum at the Mohave High School Auditorium for the Legislative District 5 Representatives. We were fortunate enough to have all four Republican candidates attend including incumbents Representative Regina Cobb, Representative Paul Mosley as well as challengers Jennifer Jones-Esposito and Leo Biasiucci. The focus of this event was to hear the candidates’ views on local issues, as well as state and federal, and their plans for the future. In front of more than 50 attendees, the candidates each had their chance at six questions. The questions revolved around immigration, education, burros in Mohave County, water rights and rising market rent for seniors. The forum was moderated by Paul Bull and the Chamber would like to express our thanks to Mr. Bull for that.
The next candidate forum will be again held at the Mohave High School Auditorium on July 25th at 5 p.m. This will include Mayor Brady and mayoral candidate Jerry Duvall. All four City Council candidates will be there as well including incumbents Annette Wegmann and Steve D’Amico as well as challengers Norma Brummett and Gerald Ross. Attendees will get their chance to ask the candidates questions as well.
