A New Twist to Taste of Bullhead Benefits Area Restaurants
Restaurants who have participated in the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Taste of Bullhead in the past are now the intended beneficiaries of new customers and revenue this year. The Taste of Bullhead will still be considered a signature promotion, designed by the Ambassadors. The vital group of business leaders who act as the Chamber’s “right hand” work in concert with the staff and member business on many activities. The group knew that a completely different approach was necessary this year. Instead of asking the restaurants to pony up costs involved in setting up booths, offering free food and paying staff for the popular one-night showcase of culinary delights, nothing should be asked of them.
Instead, they designed it with the culmination of a $1,000 prize for a resident that frequents the establishments, gets enough punches on a card and becomes eligible for the noon drawing on March 3, 2021 at the monthly Ambassadors’ meeting at the Chamber. The restaurants only need to welcome the increased foot traffic and take out orders, confirm the customer has purchased a meal and stamp their card. The promotion runs from February 1 to February 28. The revenue in this scenerio is intended to shift to the restaurants.
The promotion typically serves as a major fundraiser for the Chamber, generated by ticket sales to a big tasting event and from sponsors. But, as things have changed, leaders of the Ambassadors knew that it was time to give back to those participaing restaurants in the past 2-3 years. Event Chairperson Larry Tunforss and Chamber Executive Board Member, both Ambassadors, have spent the last few weeks finalizing the rules of the activity and confirming the restaurants that will be involved. The opportunities for additional drawings and prizes are being pursued.
The restaurants will be able to provide particpants with the cards. Those restaurants, the Ambassadors and Chamber staff are working together to make sure that completed cards are put in the drawing drum, which will be located at the Chamber. Complete rules and the essential event sponsors, who are helping offset costs, are featured here. More information about the restaurants will be added when available.
