“Behind every small business, there’s a story worth knowing. All the corner shops in our towns and cities, the restaurants, cleaners, gyms, hair salons, hardware stores – these didn’t come out of nowhere”. – Paul Ryan

This Saturday is National Small Business Saturday and we at the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce have put together an event to highlight a few of our many, many small businesses. It’s a sort of Scavenger Hunt/Poker Run where instead of making stops to collect playing cards, you stop at some of our local businesses to collect a stamp on your card.

Most of these businesses will be offering a discount on services; so hopefully, you will learn something about these small businesses while you are there and maybe make a purchase, including a special something for that Chamber Executive Director in your life.

The event is Saturday, November 25th from 10-3, with a wrap-up mixer/party at Eagle Motorcycles starting at 4. At Eagle, we will be selecting winners of some of our raffle giveaways as well as socializing. There will be food and refreshments available there as well. The cards are now available at the Chamber for just $5. If you have several people in your office who would like one, John will bring them to you.

So get together a group of your friends, head over the chamber and get your cards, and have a great time on Saturday helping our local small businesses. Who knows, maybe you will find a new favorite leather shop, coffee bar, print shop, or furniture store.

And remember:

“I’m all about small business. I think what we’ve learned from big business and big Wall Street is that unchecked greed and the creation of false value gets us all in trouble. If we look at the American economy, who’s really creating value? It’s the small businesses”. – Robert Herjavec
