Proceeds from the Drive In Movie Go To Help The Homeless
Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce President/CEO John Pynakker joined with Jessica McGuire of Anderson Ford and Maria Pynakker of the Kiwanis Club of the Colorado River, as well as Chamber Social Media Manager Tina Paden to present Bullhead City Elementary School District #15 Homeless Liaison Lupe Torres a check for $1,840.
The $1,840 are the proceeds from the recent Drive-In Movie event that Anderson and the Chamber put on with the help of the Anderson Fieldhouse and the Kiwanis Club of the Colorado River.
Maria Pynakker brought nearly a dozen Kiwanians to help park for the event which featured a huge 30′ x 40′ screen on the back of the Fieldhouse building for the showing of Toy Story 4. Thank you to Ed Catalfamo and Jolene Stein at the Anderson Fieldhouse for their help.
Torres, who has just a budget of $300 annually through a grant, will use the money to help provide food and clothing for the more than 100 homeless students in the district. For more information, or to donate, please contact Torres at 928-234-2089.
